The Best Hiking Sites 2019

I've compiled a list of what I consider to be the best Hiking sites on the Web. Feel free to add any you think should be listed in the comment section.

Miss Janet's HikerTV

Number one isn't a site but as you will find out its great stuff . The legendary trail angel Miss Janet has created a YouTube channel. You can find it here at https://www.youtube.com/user/themissjanet

Number two is a great site with a lot of content, like articles and current hiker blogs. The Trek has grown into a great site, you can find it here https://thetrek.co

Number three is a corporate one but has good articles every once in awhile. Be sure to check out Backpacker Magazines site https://www.backpacker.com/

Next if your looking for a long distance trail guide this site is the place to order your book for trail mileage, water sources, road crossings and information about trail towns. https://www.theatguide.com/

No list would be complete without these organizations.

For the Appalachian Trail http://www.appalachiantrail.org/

For the Pacific Crest Trail https://www.pcta.org/

For the Continental Divide Trail https://continentaldividetrail.org/

For the Florida Trail https://www.floridatrail.org/

Speaking of the Florida Trail be sure to check out Sandra's page here https://floridahikes.com/florida-trail she is the go to on all things about hiking in Florida.

The next site has been around forever and has a Forum for discussions related to hiking the Appalachian Trail, and hiker blogs as well https://www.whiteblaze.net

We all know that hiking is good for your mental health, but these guys raise money for a great cause.  Be sure to check them out and the great things they and other volunteer hikers do and their events. https://www.hikeformentalhealth.org/

Thanks for checking out the list
